School gardens have shown to be a powerful way to improve the quality of nutrition and education in schools. Students who participate in school garden projects discover fresh food, connect with the environment and have an opportunity to make healthier food choices. CK public health gives schools the opportunity to establish their own garden or maintain an existing garden through a grant up to $1,000.00. Applications available April 2020.
