Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program
We know how much oral health affects overall health and quality of life; from the way we eat, speak and socialize, to more complex impacts on chronic diseases. The Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program helps connect seniors with the dental care they need to support healthy living.
Free dental care for low-income seniors, are you eligible?
- The applicant is an Ontario resident aged 65 and over
- Meet the annual net income
- single seniors with an annual income of $25,000
- senior couples with a combined annual income of $41,500
- Have no other form of dental benefits, including private insurance or dental coverage under another government program such as Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program or Non-Insured Health Benefits

How do I apply?

After you apply:
- Your card may take 5 weeks to arrive
- You will always receive a response in the mail. If you haven’t received your card or notification after 5 weeks from applying; please call 1-833-207-4435
How do I book an appointment?
Once you receive your card, contact CK Public Health at 519-355-1071 ext. 5700. Your card can only be used by a dentist participating in the Ontario Senior Dental Care Program. Our oral health team will assist with setting up an appointment.
What dental services will be covered under this program?
Dental services covered under this program will include the following:
- Examinations/assessments
- Preventive services (e.g., cleanings)
- Restorative services to repair broken teeth and cavities
- X-rays
- Oral surgery services to remove teeth or abnormal tissue
- Anesthesia
- Endodontic services to treat infection and pain
- Periodontal services to treat gum conditions and diseases
- Crowns
- Dentures (a small co-payment is required for new dentures)
