IPAC Hub

Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Hubs were developed by the Ministry of Health to enhance IPAC practices in community-based, congregate living settings. IPAC hubs are funded by the Ministry of Health separately from other Public Health Unit funding.

The Chatham-Kent IPAC Hub serves to provide guidance and direct support for IPAC best practices in congregate living settings.

We support community-based, congregate living settings. These settings include:

  1. Long-term care homes
  2. Retirement homes
  3. Supportive housing
  4. Shelters
  5. Group homes

IPAC Training & Education

Public Health Ontario (PHO) offers a variety of education resources for different environments, including long-term care and community health care settings. Find the most relevant course for you on the PHO website.
