The Food Handler Certification Program teaches food handlers about food safety. During the course, food handlers learn the following:
- Food safety laws
- Ways to handle food safely
- How to properly store, prepare, cook and serve food to prevent food poisoning

CK Public Health Food Handler Course
CK Public Health has food safety courses all year for $40. This price includes an instruction manual, a probe thermometer, and an exam. The course is open to anyone who wants to become a certified food handler. This is a one-day, in-class course taught by a Public Health Inspector.
