Rotary of Chatham-Sunrise wants you to finish the task, and wear a mask!
Chatham-Kent has many service groups and organizations that make the community a better place. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of these groups have had to think of creative ways to serve the community, while adhering to public health measures. The Rotary Club of Chatham-Sunrise is one of the groups that has supported the community while promoting public health messaging!
Chatham Sunrise Rotarians have created a music video to promote all public health measures for COVID-19 control and infection prevention, including social distancing, hand washing and wearing a mask. Sunrise Rotary is pleased to join with CK Public Health to increase the reach of this program across Chatham-Kent.
One of Rotary International’s main goals is to educate and equip communities to stop the spread of life-threatening diseases. Rotary members have hundreds of health projects underway around the world at any given time. In September, Sunrise Rotary launched their “CK Finish the Task, Wear a Mask” campaign. The Rotary Club of Chatham Sunrise is reaching out to the community to promote all public health measures for COVID-19 prevention. The “CK Finish the Task, Wear a Mask” is built on the “Finish the Task, Wear a Mask” program created by Stratford Rotary Club.
John Lawrence, Sunrise Rotary Coordinator of the “CK Finish the Task Wear the Mask” video, expressed appreciation for the Stratford Rotary Club sharing their music track and for compiling the CK music video.
“I appreciate the many leaders in agriculture, arts, politics, and community service across Chatham who enthusiastically donned a mask and participated in the “CK Finish the Task Wear the Mask” video.
Lawrence invites all businesses and service groups across Chatham-Kent join the CK Public Health – Rotary partnership in promoting COVID-19 control and infection prevention. Lawrence hopes that if the community embraces the concepts of “CK Finish the Task, Wear a Mask” through the month of November, we may all appreciate this New Year a little more.
