Does your program target children in Chatham-Kent ages 0-12?
Does your program help children in Chatham-Kent become more physically active?
Does your program aim to bring the community of Chatham-Kent together to improve overall health and well-being?
If you answered yes to all of the above questions, than the ‘CK Boosters’ program may be for you!
The Super Kids CK Boosters Program provides financial assistance up to $15,000.00 for community programs/projects/campaigns, and is made possible through the province-wide initiative The Healthy Kids Community Challenge. The Healthy Kids Community Challenge is broken down into themes, and the current theme, ‘Run. Jump. Play. Every day’, aims to bring new ideas and programs to the community that make it easier for children to be active—because we know that active kids are happier, they sleep better, and they do better in school. And being active doesn’t have to mean planned, structured exercise, or something complicated. Children are active by nature, and all you have to do is encourage that natural urge to ‘Run. Jump. Play. Every Day.’
With that in mind, the Super Kids CK Boosters program hopes to empower local organizations to implement an innovative program, project, or campaign that helps make Chatham-Kent a place where it’s easy for kids to be active.
