Let’s Talk About It……..If you’re having sex it’s important to get tested!
There are lots of different reasons to get tested for sexually transmitted infections (STIs):
- Ending an old relationship and starting a new one.
- Condom broke, you just found out your partner was unfaithful.
- Number one reason to get tested is many STIs have no signs or symptoms in the majority of infected people. Or, they have mild symptoms that are easily overlooked.
Getting tested can be quick and easy. Depending on what you’re being tested for you may need to provide a blood sample, a simple swab or just pee in a cup.
There is also an Easy On-Line Testing option available at http://www.chatham-kent.ca/PublicHealth/STI-Testing/Pages/AreyouatRisk.aspx
