Radon is the second leading cause of Lung Cancer in Canada!

What is radon?

Radon is a natural radioactive gas from the soil and rock beneath our homes.  When it seeps into your home, you can’t see it, taste it or smell it.  Radon can kill you.  Not many people know that a simple test in your home can tell you if you need to take steps to reduce the risk to yourself and your family.

How do you know if you have radon?

Radon can build up in any house, old or new and testing is the only way to find out if your home has unsafe levels.  January is the perfect time to test, since we keep our doors and windows shut in the winter, giving you a more accurate radon level reading in your home.

How do I test my home for radon?

Homeowners can use a simple, do it yourself kit.  Testing must be done during the winter months, when the house is closed up for winter weather. We no longer have radon kits available please check your local hardware store.
