Responsible Consumption and Production

Being environmentally friendly is something that is highly encouraged in our country and the world. We think more about how our actions, consumption and attitudes can affect our environment more now than ever before.

We recycle, we read labels, we care about our wildlife and forests. We are choosing non-disposable products, we try to conserve energy and are making conscious decisions about our health and well being.

Breastfeeding provides a healthy, viable, non-polluting, non-resource intensive, sustainable and natural source of nutrition and sustenance.

  • Breastfeeding does not require a factory to produce, just a mama and her baby.
  • Breast milk is always the perfect temperature, no heating required.
  • Breast milk comes with its own convenient storage system, no need to bottle up in plastic containers or keep cool while travelling.
  • Breastfeeding is energy efficient! Breastfeeding reduces waste and exposure to chemicals! Plastic takes a huge environmental toll on our planet. Plastic is made of oil, and accounts for approximately 8% of the world’s yearly oil consumption. Plastics produce harmful and toxic wastes that leach into the air, soil and water and eventually into our bodies. Plastics that end up in landfills will remain there for centuries. Breast milk is biodegradable and chemical free!

Breastfeeding is one of the “greenest” decisions you can make!
