The summer season is upon us, many of us are spending time with our families and friends at community-based special events. 

Serving and sharing foods at these events can be a
very enjoyable experience for everyone involved,
but it is important to make sure that food is safe. 

Special event organizers, food vendors, and volunteers
are required to understand how to handle food safely. 

Event organizers and food vendors are strongly recommended
to contact the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit prior to the
event to ensure all requirements are met and to discuss event-specific food safety tips.
